That depends on when your store was created. If you created your store before April 27th, 2009, your account requires a valid PayPal account to receive payments. If your store was created on or after April 27th, an Amazon Payments account is required in order to receive payments. PayPal is an account-based system that lets anyone with an email address securely send and receive online payments using their credit card or bank account.
